| SHM drill down in Romanian valuations |
SHM Smith Hodgkinson have just completed the valuation of two oil refineries and a drilling and exploration site in Romania.
The sites were owned by the former Romanian state-owned oil company Petrom SA and have recently been acquired by OMV of Austria.
A team of valuers from SHM’s UK and Bucharest offices carried out the valuation of the oil refineries at Pitesti and Ploisesti and the oil drilling and exploration field was in Transylvania. In addition, SHM valued a fertiliser plant in Craiova.
SHM has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector having carried out valuations across Europe and Asia. The valuations are often linked to takeovers, ensuring a true reflection in the balance sheet or for bank lending purposes as companies look to raise capital to fund expansion.
